Ethos and Aims
We provide a school environment in which we encourage pride, respect and close communication with each other and parents. Children are taught to have self-discipline, awareness and tolerance of the needs of others.
Our ethos is confirmed by the latest OFSTED report in November 2005, which
stated that:
- The school has very effective provision for personal development.
- Relationships between pupils and with adults are friendly, respectful and constructive.
- The behaviour of the children is often exemplary
The Aims of the School are to:
- Provide every member of the school community with an experience of Christian life and worship.
- Enable children to make good progress in all areas of the curriculum and all aspects of school life.
- Provide a stimulating, happy and purposeful learning environment in which children experience pleasure, satisfaction and success.
- Provide high standards in teaching and learning.
- Effectively develop children’s language and mathematical skills and use these in intellectual, imaginative and creative ways.
- Promote caring attitudes, thoughtfulness, respect and understanding for other members of the school community and the wider world.
- Ensure that there is equality for all with no racial, religious or sexual discrimination or bullying.
