Ethos and Aims

We provide a school environment in which we encourage pride, respect and close communication with each other and parents. Children are taught to have self-discipline, awareness and tolerance of the needs of others.

Our ethos is confirmed by the latest OFSTED report in November 2005, which
stated that:

The school has very effective provision for personal development.
Relationships between pupils and with adults are friendly, respectful and constructive.
The behaviour of the children is often exemplary

The Aims of the School are to:

Provide high standards in teaching and learning.
Effectively develop children’s language and mathematical skills and use these in intellectual, imaginative and creative ways.
Promote caring attitudes, thoughtfulness, respect and understanding for other members of the school community and the wider world.
Ensure that there is equality for all with no racial, religious or sexual discrimination or bullying.
